What's allowed

  • It's allowed — to escape home saying "just an hour for roots" and disappear for three
  • It's allowed — to spill all the secrets — husband, kids, the neighbour, the beautician. We don't gossip — we cut hair
  • It's allowed — to ask for wine from 10:00 a.m. — some things must be disinfected from within
  • It's allowed — to post a story captioned "just a tiny blow-dry" while sporting fresh blonde from the roots

What's forbidden

  • Not allowed — to talk politics — no good for the hair or the soul
  • Not allowed — to disrespect — not your hair, not the team, not yourself
  • No men allowed — this is a women-only club
  • About the kids — we love them dearly — especially when they're at home
